A valuable Lesson from infants and children

Babies, Infants, Children…

They have something beautiful about them. Something, something most adults lack:

They never quit no matter how many times they fail.

When babies get to the stage where they start to walk. They fall many painful times. Yet they stand up, wipe the tears off their face and try again.

When they reach the stage to write, read and talk they try and try and try and fail and fail and fail. Still, the failure and criticisms from people, especially from their parents doesn’t dampen their resolve; they keep on trying, again and again and again until they succeed…

But as they grow older this beautiful trait dies a slow latent death. I don’t know why, but it eventually vanishes into thin air— it’s as if this beautiful trait was never there before.

And the babies who once had the no-quitting-spirit grow up into adults who give up when they see failure rear its ugly head. Most of them even give up due to fear of beholding failure’s hard, ugly and triumphant smile.

In brief…

Become a child again. Failure’s painful whip shouldn’t scare you.

Become a child again. Run towards failure even though you can see its scary trail.

Become a child again. Become a child again. A child again.

This is how to secure a seat for yourself in the gathering of the top 1% of men. Isn’t it poetic?
