The piece on the chessboard that I so much love and fear at the same time is the Knight. The reason for this is simple:
It’s the weirdest of all the pieces on the chessboard. An enigma. It’s the master of the almighty L-Shape move. That move is so so odd. Weird…
In fact, it was so odd to the extent that it took me a very long time before I could master it.
It’s also a lethal weapon in the hands of those who can harness its power—most times you just won’t see it coming.
When I see that my opponent decides to use a Knight, I tend to be much more alert and conscious of my moves. Because it’s simply unpredictable and mysterious—he just doesn’t move like the rest.
